By FAHEEM RAZA and NISAR MEHDI November 7, 2008

KARACHI - Pir Mazharul Haq, Senior Minister in the Sindh Govt, and Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza dashed to London on Friday to hold talks with MQM Chief Altaf Hussain to sort out differences between PPP and MQM.

They will also discuss MQM's prospects to join the Federal govt and also take up possible amendments to Local Bodies system, sources in PPP revealed to The Nation here on Friday.

The MQM had rejected the PPP offer of three ministers in the Federal Cabinet and one State Minister.

MQM demanded six Federal Ministers in the Cabinet and also wanted to sort out their differences in the Sindh on job quota and distribution of the funds and possible amendments in the Local Bodies system.

Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan has already left for London alongwith City Nazim Mustafa Kamal.

PPP sources said that High Commissioner to UK, Wajid Shamsul Hassan would also join the PPP team to hold dialogue with MQM leadership in London.
