PML-N dubs Taseer a political orphan

Rana Sana Ullah said the Punjab government had requested Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani for quitting the provincial government, as the PPP had no logic for staying in the government after the PML-N had quit the federal cabinet.

About Punjab Governor’s statements, Rana further said these were against the constitution. “That is why, we have asked the federal government to direct Salman Taseer to act according to the constitution,” he added.

Spokesperson PML-N Saddiq-ul-Farooq maintained that the N-League would support every democratic step, and would not become part of any unconstitutional move. “The PPP should respect our mandate and the PML-N will reciprocate in the same manner. After Gilani has announced the break-up of the coalition, he should accept the resignation of the N-League ministers. Despite the fact that Asif Ali Zardari had not actualised his promises, Nawaz Sharif will attend Zardari’s oath-taking ceremony,” he said.
