Congress backs dialogue with Pakistan

Congress on Monday gave a qualified thumbs up to a fresh round of Indo-Pak talks by insisting that terror would have to be the central. "Our priority remains to ensure that South Asia must be a region without terror footprints," Congress spokesman Manish Tiwari said at a media briefing. Against the backdrop of the proposed Foreign Secretary-level talks with Pakistan, Congress said the dialogue process should be allowed to unfold.
