Outrage over hefty raise in KESC tariff

Commercial consumers consuming up to 100 units would pay Rs 9.93 per unit while those consuming 100 to 300 units would be billed at the rate of Rs10.04 per unit.

Industrial consumers consuming 400 megawatts off-peek will have to pay Rs 8.05 per unit while those using full peek will have to pay Rs 8.15 per unit.

It is worth mentioning here that the Karachi Electric Supply Corporation (KESC) had sent the summary proposing a rise in tariff in the months of April and July, which was rejected by the government
