11 militants killed in jet planes’ air strikes
September 10, 2008 At least 11 militants were killed and seven others injured after security forces launched air strikes at militants’ hideouts in Tehsil Kabbal of Swat on Wednesday. According to reports, shells were fired at militants’ positions from jet planes in Kozabandi area of Kabbal, killing at least 11 Taliban fighters. Several houses were also destroyed in shelling, sources said. Meanwhile, unknown miscreants blew up several shops of former federal minister and central leader of ANP Afzal Khan Lala in Matta. ISPR says curfew has been relaxed across the district except Kabbal and Ayub Bridge from 7am to 7pm.
