Nawaz rejects judges fresh oath
Source: Our Staff Reporter September 10, 2008 LAHORE - PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif has called election of PPP Co-Chairperson as President of Pakistan through a democratic process, a breath of fresh air.
He said that practicing of democratic norms would go a long way in reviving democratic culture in the country.
He expressed these views while talking to newsmen at Lahore Airport before leaving for UK accompanied by his spouse and family doctors on Tuesday.
He said, “I accept Asif Ali Zardari as elected President of Pakistan and presidential election has been carried out in accordance with law and Constitution.” He said that Asif Zardari did not get this honour by strangulating democracy like a dictator.
