ISLAMABAD - PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday deplored the ongoing point-scoring campaign by certain political parties over the assassination attempt on Sheikh Rashid, PML-Ns rival candidate in NA-55 by-poll.
It looks as it was part of a well thought out plan, Nawaz said while talking to senior party leaders who called on him here at the Punjab House.
Sources informed that former prime minister expressed his regrets over the attack and called for an impartial probe into the incident to the best satisfaction of Sheikh Rashid.
Earlier, a party delegation from Gilgit-Baltistan also called on Nawaz and apprised him of their problems. Nawaz assured the delegation that PML-N, if came into power, would leave no stone unturned for the well being of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan. Later Nawaz left for Murree.
