ISLAMABAD The US embassy in Islamabad has urged the American citizens to avoid the areas of demonstrations being held in connection with the 'lawyers' long march.
In its demonstration alert, the embassy has asked the US citizens to exercise caution if within the vicinity of any demonstrations.
"Spontaneous demonstrations take place in Pakistan from time to time in response to the world events or local developments.
We remind American citizens that even demonstrations intended to be peaceful can turn confrontational and possibly escalate into violence," said the alert issued by the embassy.
American citizens have been advised to stay current with media coverage of local events and be aware of their surroundings at all times.
