28 die in Lodhran bus accident

He confirmed 25 deaths and said the process of identification of bodies is underway. President Asif Zardari, PM Yousuf Raza Gilani have expressed their shock and grief over the loss of precious lives in the incident.

Agencies add: “It was the bus driver’s negligence which caused the accident that killed several people and injured 45 others. Many of the dead were women and children,” Khurram Ali Shah said.

Pakistan has the world’s third-highest death rate from traffic accidents, blamed on poor roads and reckless driving.
