5 cops dead in ambush
MANSEHRA - Some unidentified persons killed five policemen in the village Kund Bangla Saturday evening
while a forest guard was seriously injured in the firing incident.
According to the details, the local police upon information that a dead body was found in a nearby forest rushed
to the site in Forest Departments vehicle.
After recovering the dead body when they were on their way back, some unidentified assailants ambushed them
in the village Kund Bangla, some 30-km from Mansehra. They opened indiscriminate fire on the police party
killing Inspector Sabir, ASI Farooq and three constables on the spot.
A forest guard Mohammad Salim was, however, seriously injured in the attack. The vehicle also caught fire due
to heavy firing by the assailants.
