Actor Badar Munir laid to rest

Munir started his professional life as a rickshaw driver in Karachi before joining film industry. Later, he was employed by chocolate hero Wahid Murad in his office from where he started his career in movies.

The funeral was scheduled to take place at 10 pm but a dispute arose between the family members as to whether the burial will take place at Lahore or at Munir's ancestral home in Swat. Munir had two wives. One wife and children lived in Swat while the other one lived at 296-Hunza Block, Iqbal Town Lahore, from where the funeral procession began when the dispute was settled at around 1:00 am (Sunday). A large number of people from different walks of life particularly the showbiz participated in the funeral.
