JCSC backs govt efforts to end terror

ISLAMABAD - The top brass of Armed Forces Saturday took serious notice of hostile propaganda against the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Pakistan’s strategic programme.

A session of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee meeting (JCSC), which is the highest military leadership forum where defence and security issues are discussed, was convened at Joint Staff Headquarters, Chaklala, an ISPR statement said.

The meeting was chaired by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Tariq Majid, and was attended by Chief of the Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, Secretary Defence Kamran Rasool, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir, Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Tanveer Mahmood Ahmed, Director General Joint Staff, Secretary Defence Production, Director General Inter-Services Intelligence, Director General Strategic Plans Division and other concerned officials.
