Taseer sees failure of lawyers' long march

He said if they lack in number, they could join hands with the people giving sacrifices for democracy for the Parliament to be strong. The Governor said that peaceful protest is a part of democracy; we accept the democratic right of the people but every one has seen that there is no benefit to carry constitutional matters on the roads.

He asserted that in democratic system no governor is non-political. He said that in my presence no one would be allowed to use non-democratic methods against anyone, as I am a neutral governor. Democracy is a name to accept the supremacy of Parliament practically, he added.
