Stop blame game, Zardari tells India
ISLAMABAD (Online) - Reaffirming his firm resolve to wipe out the menace of terrorism, President Asif Ali Zardari asked India to stop blaming Pakistan for Mumbai mayhem.
He expressed these views during a lunch in honour of Dr RK Pachauri, DG Teri University, New Delhi, at Presidency on Tuesday.
Satyabrata Pal, High Commissioner of India, Hameed Ullah Jan Afridi, Federal Minister for Environment, Sardar Aseff Ahmad Ali, Deputy Chairman Planning Commission, Dr Ishfaq Ahmed, Advisor to Planning Commission for S&T, Kamal Majidullah, SAPM on water resources, Shams ul Mulk, Ex-Chairman WAPDA and Javed Jabbar, Ex-Minister for Information were also present.
Sources said that during the meeting, the President once again made it clear to India not to blame Pakistan for Mumbai carnage without substantial evidence in this regard. "Pakistan wants to extend all cooperation and support to India regarding Mumbai attacks investigation," he said. The President said Pakistan is seriously reviewing on the evidences provided by India, maintaining that New Delhi must also give a positive response to Pakistan's offer.
The sources further added that President during his meeting with US Ambassador Anne W Patterson, discussed host of issues like war on terror, Mumbai carnage, security situation and other matters in length.
On the occasion, the President stressed on US to cooperate with Pakistan in various fields especially energy sector.
