Nawaz files papers from NA-123
Source: Our Staff Reporter May 14, 2008 LAHORE - PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif filed his nomination papers from NA-123,Lahore to contest by-polls on the last day of filing nomination papers.
Hamza Shahbaz and Capt.Safdar Mahmood have also filed nomination papers from the same constituency as Nawaz's covering candidates.
The NA-123 was vacated after Makhdoom Javed Hashmi left this seat because he had secured three National Assembly seats in February 18 polls while under Constitution one person can retain only one seat. Nawaz reached Sessions Court amid tight security in the evening.
