Up to 86 paisa hike in electricity tariff
ISLAMABAD-National Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) Wednesday allowed rise in power tariff for power companies to adjust monthly fuel.
The raise will apply to all consumers ranging from Rs 0.18 (18 paisa) to Rs 0.86 paisa per unit as part of monthly fuel adjustment.
According to a notification issued by National Electric Power Company, the adjustments will apply to all consumers categories except lifeline residential consumers.
An upward per unit adjustment in the determined tariff has been assessed for power distribution companies by NEPRA as Rs 0.44 for Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO); Rs 0.46 for Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO); Rs 0.42 for Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO); Rs 0.42 for Hyderabad Electric Supply Company; Rs 0.18 for Gujranwala Electric Power company (GEPCO); Rs 0.39 for Faisalabad Electric Supply Company and Rs 0.86 for Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO).
Similarly, downward per unit adjustment in the determined tariff has been assessed for Quetta Electric Supply Company (QESCO).
