Govt releases 34 Indians
Source: Our Staff Reporter August 15, 2008 Chairman of Pakistan Fisher folk Forum (PFF) Mohammad Ali Shah told The Nation that some 25 Pakistani fishermen, who had mistakenly crossed the Indian border had been detained in Indian prisons out of which six fishermen had been charged with smuggling and had been in detention for 13 years.
Shah revealed that around 50 Pakistani fishermen were still missing from Indian border; neither they were produced before any Indian court nor did the Indian authorities provide any information about them so far.
