Thousands fleeing Bajaur

Reports received from Mardan also suggested similar situation. District Nazim Himayatullah Mayar, when contacted, confirmed the arrival of the displaced persons and said, “We are going to set up a camp with the help of International Committee of the Red Cross”.

Similarly, a large number of the displaced people arrived in Shabqadar, Charsadda. Most of the people reached Charsadda on foot as there were no transportation facilities currently available because of the roads’ closure.
