Fazl, Asfand, Gilani discuss issues: PM conveyed ANP concerns

These sources said though the chances of Nawaz Sharif’s participation in the meeting were bleak but according to PML-N sources Nawaz had given assurance to Premier Gilani that his party would participate in the meeting and most likely Shahbaz Sharif would attend the meeting.

The sources informed that besides other issues, the upcoming meeting of the alliance would discuss the ongoing military operation in FATA and the concerns of the coalition partners about not taking them on board before re-launching the military operation. The other contentious issues like PML-N concern over the delay in judges’ restoration and expansion of federal cabinet would also be discussed.

The sources privy to the deliberations of the meeting informed that Asfandyar had expressed his party’s concern over keeping them out while making the decision to restart the military operation in tribal areas while also raised the issue of appointment of Baitul Maal Chief from PPP without consulting them.

The expansion of federal cabinet and appointment of chairmen of standing committees and parliamentary secretaries also came under discussion and PM assured that the coalition parties would duly accommodated.
