2 US Embassy cars stopped in Peshawar

PESHAWAR - Personnel of law-enforcement agencies on Thursday stopped two US diplomatic vehicles on Peshawar Motorway toll Plaza as they had no NOC on their visas to enter Peshawar city.
Sources said that police first stopped one vehicle bearing registration number HQ-790 in which US officials were sitting, who were identified as Obrar George and Borna Said William.
When officers of the sensitive agencies checked their documents and passport, they had no NOC for Peshawar City after the lapse of one and half hour another vehicle bearing registration number NU-760 reached the site which was equipped with latest jammers and other sophisticated devices.
After stopping both the vehicles, a Peshawar based security in charge of US Consulate here Manzoor also approached on the occasion and informed security personnel regarding their confirmation as officials of US Embassy in Islamabad. After detailed probe, law-enforcement agencies sent back the vehicles to Islamabad. Earlier, an American national Aaron Mark had been arrested in Peshawar for overstaying illegally in Pakistan.
