Let bygones be bygones

LAHORE - Punjab Governor Salman Taseer has assured Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif that he would not create any problem for him in future.
He held out this assurance during a brief interaction with Shahbaz at Governors House on the occasion of oath-taking ceremony of Lahore High Courts CJ Khwaja Sharif the other day.
Sources privy to the brief encounter between the two leaders disclosed that Taseer also promised to cooperate with the PML-N govt in Punjab. Shahbaz welcomed the Governors reconciliatory gesture, terming it a fresh breath of air in the prevailing political scenario. Later, the both of them emerged in the Darban Hall along with Kh Sharif for the formal ceremony. However, before the ceremony or afterwards, they did not speak to each other.
Shahbaz had visited the Governors House 10 months back when he took oath as Chief Minister on June 8. Since then he never visited the place due to the tense relations between the Sharifs and the Governor.
