The eight-month long Pakistan-India stalled peace process got a fresh lease of life as President Asif Ali Zardari and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met here and agreed to initiate bilateral dialogue, report said. It was decided in the meeting held on the sidelines of Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) that the foreign secretaries of the two countries would meet in near future at the mutually convenient dates. In the meeting, Pakistan would apprise India about the steps it took against terrorism and would also discuss to address the Indian concerns in this regard, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi told newsmen after the meeting between President Zardari and Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. The one-on-one meeting between the two leaders that commenced with a warm handshake and smiles lasted for one hour. Meanwhile, Singh and Zardari will also meet in Egypt, probably around July 15-16, an Indian official said on Tuesday.
