22 bodies recovered from Swat, Buner

SWAT/ISLAMABAD – A total of 22 dead bodies of militants, 14 from Swat and eight from Buner, were recovered here on Sunday.
According to details, 14 dead bodies of militants were recovered from Guli Bagh area of tehsil Charbagh, district Swat, while the remaining eight dead bodies were recovered from Karakar locality, which was once the stronghold of militants of Buner district.
The dead bodies of the eight militants recovered from Karakar were identified as those of Rehman Ali, Ajab Khan, Sultan Ghani, Mohammad Yusuf, Khan Khaliq, Marifat Shah, Muqadar Shah and Zahid Hussain.
Meanwhile, four militants were killed in clashes with security forces in Gharai locality in tehsil Barikot. Gharai was once the strong hold of militants and forces had a stiff resistance during the Rah i Rast operation against the militants in Swat.
Meanwhile, security forces killed 17 terrorists in South Waziristan Agency as well as Swat-Malakand during the last 24 hours, said an ISPR statement issued here.
It said that on Jandola-Sararogha axis, security forces conducted search operation at Ahmed Wam and cleared Shahvzai, Khaznikai, Udin Sar.
During search operation, exchange of fire took place with terrorists as result of which five terrorists were killed.
On Shakai-Kaniguram axis, security forces conducted search operation around Tiarza and recovered cache of arms and ammunition.
On Razmak-Makeen axis, security forces established check-post at Shah Wali Alghad. Route to Laddah Bridge has been cleared from all obstacles and during the process of route scanning 4 IEDs were neutralised. Security forces also recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition.
Security forces completed concentration around Tauda China and searched 25 houses in village at Kam Narakai during the process 3 IED were also diffused.
Terrorists fired few rockets from southern direction of village of Wouchaba that was effectively responded.
Meanwhile, in Swat -Malakand, 12 terrorists were killed and two other suspects were apprehended during search operation at Karakar Banda, Ilam Saand, Ashar Banr, Gari Shamozai. Seven terrorists voluntarily surrendered to security forces at Charbagh, Roria, Zara Khela.
