PESHAWAR The armed private guards of anti-Taliban UC Nazim of Bazid Khail Faheem foiled another attack on his life when they gunned down three masked militants near his hujra in Bazid Khail area on Sunday.
Sources said three armed militants belonging to defunct Lashkar-i-Islam Bara came to attack anti-Taliban Nazim Faheem inside his Hujra but on a tip-off his armed volunteers opened firing on them which resulted killing of all the three militants on the spot. The killed persons were identified as Sabir, Farooq and Noor Ahmad. All of them belong to defunct organisation of Bara Lashkar Islam.
It was probably fourth attempt in which Nazim Faheem survived. A few months back armed militants of Lashkar Islam boarded in several vehicles attempted to kidnap him but on that occasion the special guards of Faheem along with police forces foiled the attack and resulted killing of eight Taliban militants.
Later armed militants also targeted the Hujra of Nazim in which several persons were killed and dozens injured. In another incident, Nazim Faheem was attacked through a car bomb blast in Barisko chowk area. However, he survived as he left the area after a jirga before the incident. The actual target of the bomb blast was Nazim Faheem but he luckily was not present in building, which was targeted by the miscreants. The attack resulted in killing of 17 persons and injuring dozen others.
Local people of the area have widely hailed the performance of the private guards of Nazim Faheem .
