Presidency to echo with 'Jeay Bhutto' soon, says Zardari
By MUBASHIR HASSAN June 17, 2008 LAHORE-While asking the people to wait for PPP call for a Long March, the Co-Chairman PPP , Asif Ali Zardari on Monday said the day was not far when PPP would show its presence in the Presidency.
'The day is not far when Jeay Bhutto slogans would echo in the Presidency, and PPP would show its presence there', he said while addressing the charged PPP workers at first-ever public gathering held at Governor's House. Punjab Governor Salman Taseer, Senior Minister Raja Riaz, former MPA, Samiullah Khan and other party leaders were present on the occasion.
Zardari dispelled the impression that PPP leadership was weak or exhausted, saying, that it was waiting for the right time to strike when the iron gets hot.
'Soon you would see a man like Salman Taseer in the Presidency', he told the audience.
Ridiculing the recent long march by lawyers, Zardari asked party workers to wait for PPP call for a long march, which, he said, would be a Long March in the real sense and not just a fair that could be staged by anybody.
