Pak, Iran sign gas pipeline deal

ISLAMABAD (APP) Iran and Pakistan signed a deal in Turkey on Tuesday paving the way for constructing a much-delayed natural gas pipeline.
Pakistan has the pipeline, which will connect Irans South Pars gas field with Balochistan and Sindh provinces, is crucial to averting a growing energy crisis that is already causing severe electricity shortages. Its in our legitimate economic interests, said Foreign Office Spokesman Abdul Basit.
