Sindh govt challenges 'discriminatory' power tariff
Source: OUR STAFF REPORTER September 18, 2008 KARACHI - The Sindh government on Wednesday filed a petition in Sindh High Court challenging the hike in power tariff across the province.
The provincial secretary for Irrigation on the behalf of Advocate General Sindh stated in the petition that the department concerned was receiving higher power tariff bills.
The Ministry of Water and Power, Hyderabad Electric Supply Corporation (HESCO), National Electric Power Regularity Authority (NEPRA) were made respondents in the petition.
