ISLAMABAD - Former President Gen (R) Pervez Musharraf has no plans to return to Pakistan until he is sure that dust related to his trial under Article 6 of the Constitution has completed settled down.
Background interviews and discussions with some of those political leaders who have recently met him in London at his private house told TheNation that former Presidents morale was high and he would decide about his return later this year.
He would return to Pakistan once all the sensitive issues relating to his trial for November 3, 2007 actions are resolved , a source speaking on anonymity told The Nation.
The former president while staying the course to his political ambitions was also considering launching new political party upon his return especially after he was given cold shoulder from MQM leadership to lead the party.
His efforts to reunite factions his former party Pakistan Muslim League commonly known as PML (Quaid) have also failed. We have our own independent party Pakistan Muslim League and will not merge it into any other entity, PML-Q President Ch Shujaat Hussain told TheNation.
