8 militants killed in Swat, Khyber Agency

Eight militants were killed in clashes with the security forces in Swat and Khyber Agency. According to media reports, the security forces carried out a search operation on Saturday's morning in suburb areas of Mingora and came under attack in the area of Agode. The troops retorted with counter attack and killed four militants in the incident.
Meanwhile, in Baara Tehsil of Khyber Agency, militants opened firing on a checkpost of FC in Chhapri Ferozkhel. Four militants were killed in retaliation by the security forces. The flights of three US drones were continued in several areas of Miranshah, creating panic among local people.
On the other hand, the brother of Taliban Leader Siraj Haqqani, Muhammad Haqqani who was killed in a drone attack was laid to rest in North Waziristan. Muhammad Haqqani was son of Afghan Commander, Jalaluddin Haqqani and brother of Taliban leader Siraj Haqqani and he was killed in a drone attack on Thursday, which was confirmed by his family. The security forces in a search operation in Dara Adam Khel arrested over 16 suspected people. According to sources, security forces came under attack near Darul Uloom in Akhorwal, area of Dara Adam Khel and the security forces cordoned off the area and started a search operation. The Kohat Tunel was remained closed for one hour during the search operation causing immense problems to passengers.
