At l east 11 people were killed and several others sustained injuries in three separate US drone strikes in Khar Dand, Zarakai and Qamar Mela areas of Lower Kurram Agency on Monday. Official sources said that a US drone targeted a vehicle with two missiles in Khar Dand area, leaving three suspected militants killed while the number of those sustained injuries could not be ascertained. Local sources said that second US drone strike took place in Zarakai, where the US drones targeted a suspected house, killing three suspected militants. In the third attack the US drones targeted a suspected compound of the militants, killing at least five of them in Qamar Mela area of Lower Kurram.
