Deposed judges not paid salary after May

LAHORE - The deposed judges have not been given any salary or other amount under the head of allowances after May last. Federal Law Minister Farooq H Naek had informed National As-sembly in writing Monday that the deposed judges have been paid Rs56.5million as salaries.
The law minister had also presented to the House a break-up of the salaries paid to the deposed judges of both Supreme Court and the High Courts.
Majority of the deposed judges is now back to the judiciary while deposed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Justice Khalilur Rahman Ramday, Justice Raja Fayyaz Ahmad, Justice Ch Ijaz Ahmad and others have still not been reinstated.
