Troops fortify positions in SWA

ISLAMABAD Security forces killed seven terrorists during an encounter near Kikrai area of South Waziristan Agency on Thursday.
According to an ISPR statement issued here, the encounter took place near Kikrai area in Jandola-Sararogha axis when security forces had engaged terrorists to clear the area. The security forces also carried out area domination and consolidation of their positions around Tor Wam and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition.
On Shakai-Kaniguram axis, the troops carried out area domination and consolidation of their positions around Marghaband and recovered huge cache of arms and ammunition. The security forces started clearing the compounds in Janata village and recovered large quantity of arms and ammunition.
The troops continued consolidating their positions on Razmak-Makeen axis. While at Imar Khel Zangi, two bodies of terrorists were recovered during a search operation. A total of 12,911 Cash Cards have been issued to displaced families of Waziristan during the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile in Swat and Malakand, as many as eight terrorists voluntarily surrendered themselves to the security forces at Miandam, Beshbanr, Udigram, Lal Qila, Bhai Kalle and Durmai areas. Besides, the forces apprehended four suspects at Alizai Check-Post.
