Militants shoot dead 5 passengers

RAWALPINDI (PPI) - Five passengers were killed near village Jerona in Malakand after terrorists opened indiscriminate firing on a pickup on Saturday.
Meanwhile, security forces continued search and clearance operations continued across Swat and other parts of Malakand Division. In Swat, 22 terrorists voluntarily surrendered at Shah Derai, while 10 others laid their arms at Gwalerai. 13 more terrorists voluntarily surrendered to security forces at Peochar, Barshaur and Sarbanda along with 4 at Barikot and 2 at Tutan Banda.
Security forces during a search operation at Shaggai near Saidu Sharif apprehended 7 terrorists. On the other hand, 29 trucks carrying rations and relief goods were distributed amongst the IDPs in Malakand along with another 20 to those of Bajaur and Dir. So far, 303,095 cash cards have been distributed amongst the IDPs of these areas.
