By IRFAN BUKHARI August 21, 2008

ISLAMABAD - Former President General (r) Pervez Musharraf Wednesday during his meeting with PML-Q parliamentarians resolved that he would permanently stay in Pakistan and would never go in forced or self-imposed exile.

As many as 30 parliamentarians of PML-Q called on Musharraf at Army House, Rawalpindi. Among the prominent were Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, Mushahid Hussain Sayed, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada, Marvi Memon, Ghaus Bux Mehar, Amir Muqam and Tariq Azim.

“He was very relaxed, confident and got surprised by our sudden visit. He told us that after pondering a lot on the pros and cons of the impeachment move, he had decided to tender his resignation to bury the persistent confrontation between the Parliament and the Presidency,” said a PML-Q parliamentarian who was part of the delegation.
