Later on, Chaudhry Shujaat told the media persons that Musharraf was clean and all the allegations against him were fabricated. He said that Pervez Musharraf had a good chat with PML-Q delegation and was in a lively mood. Pervaiz Elahi said that he was happy to see Musharraf relaxed adding that he would stay in Pakistan.
Agencies add: Musharraf relaxed with a game of tennis after stepping down following nine years of turbulent rule, an aide said Wednesday.
“I am spending time with my family, especially with my mother. I am playing tennis and enjoying it thoroughly,” former deputy information minister Tariq Tariq quoted Musharraf as telling parliamentarians who visited him on Tuesday.
“He was very relaxed and in a jovial mood,” Tariq said. “When I saw him yesterday he was wearing a polo shirt and khaki slacks and was heading off to the tennis court.”
Tariq said Musharraf also wanted to write a follow-up to his 2006 memoir, “In The Line Of Fire.”
“He told us he would like to write a book and said that a lot has happened between now and his first book,” Tariq said.
Musharraf also scoffed at media reports he was about to leave the country. “I am not going anywhere and all this talk of me leaving is rubbish,” Tariq quoted him as saying.
