Cop slaughters 9 of in-laws

FAISALABAD - A CID police constable gunned down nine members of his in-laws family including his wife and servant in Raza Abad locality here Thursday.
Constable Nasir Abbas entered the house of a stage artist Rehana Ch in Kaleem Shaheed Colony Street No-1 and managed to make all the inmates including the servant fall unconscious after giving them intoxicating drugs. Later, he fired bullets in their heads and escaped. The victims include: Rehana Ch, her husband Mohammad Yousaf, daughters: Mehreen (17) Wajeeha (9), Kinza (7), sons: Naveed (12), Tajamal (12) Muzamal (8) and house servant Shahzad (35). The sources concerned said, Rehanas daughter Mehreen and Nasir Abbass contracted love marriage and he used to live in the same house with his in-laws.
It is also worth mentioning here that Nasir himself called in the police, saying that he found all the family members dead on his arrival in the house.
Nasir is being held by the police as a prime suspect, and he has confessed to the commission of his heinous crime during interrogation, police sources said. However, the motive behind this gory act has not been ascertained so far.
