Crackdown on Qabza groups soon

LAHORE - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that crackdown is being launched against Qabza Groups for retrieving the private and government land from illegal occupants. He said that action would be taken against such elements without any discrimination and cases would be sent to the special courts so that people could get immediate relief. The CM also announced constitution of two different task forces, out of which, one would review the legal aspects while the second task force will decide course of action against Qabza Groups, says a handout.
He was presiding over a meeting with regard to action to be taken against Qabza Groups. Chief Secretary Punjab gave briefing to the CM Punjab. Members, National and Provincial Assemblies besides Senior Member Board of Revenue, IG Police Punjab, DG LDA and other senior officials were present.
Chief Minister said that Qabza Groups have become a menace during the last eight years which was patronized at government level. He said that the Qabza Groups were strengthened with the cooperation of police and other departments. He said that we will have to work as a mission for curbing this curse. He said that if we could not eliminate illegal occupation of Qabza Groups, the people will ask us what relief has been provided to their.
