July 21, 2008 According to the informed sources, the COAS briefed the President on overall security situation in the country with special reference to the military operations in FATA and NWFP.
Punjab Governor Salman Taseer was also present on the occasion.
Sources said that President Pervez Musharraf has underlined the need of collective efforts to tackle the threat of extremism and terrorism, otherwise, it would cause further damage to country’s security.
