“Once the vehicles were imported, to check the quality of these vehicles in the presence of Shaukat Aziz and Pervez Musharraf a security official was asked to fire at the windscreen of all seven Mercedes and the said official fired at the vehicles with the help of his Short Machine Gun (SMG)”, however, it was proved that bullets could not be pierced but it cracked the pain of the vehicles, sources informed, adding that after that strange exercise all 7 vehicles were distributed among the Ministers.
Interestingly, after the payment of the hefty amount from national exchequer another problem with these vehicles was found as they could not run smoothly due to heavy weight, it was held.
Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Qamar Zaman Kaira is also using one of those 7 vehicles, which was earlier used by Senate Chairman Mian Muhammad Soomro and Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad, the sources said.
