Religious scholar killed in Quetta

QUETTA - Three persons, including a religious scholar and a police constable, were killed and another injured in incidents of hand-grenade attack and firing in Quetta and Machh on Friday.
According to reports, unknown armed persons hurled a hand-grenade at a house of retired police Hawaldar Nazeer Ahmad in Machh.
The hand-grenade landed inside the house and exploded with a huge bang which resulted on-the-spot death of Ahmad Jan, son of Nazeer Ahmad, while another person was injured in the incident.
The injured was identified as Aftab who was rushed to the hospital for medical aid. The attackers escaped from the scene after committing the crime.
In another incident, two unidentified motorcyclists sprayed a volley of bullets on a vehicle at Darakshan checkpost and fled away under the cover of firing.
As result, a religious scholar identified as Agha Hassan Zakiri and a police constable Ghulam Hazart were killed on the spot. Ghulam Hazrat was stated to a resident of Alamdar Road.
Police handed over the bodies to their heirs after autopsy and registered a case against unknown attackers.
