16 militants killed in operation

PESHAWAR Amidst bombing by jet fighter planes on suspected militant hideouts in Nawagi and Tehsil Mamond at least eight militants were killed, while 16 others were arrested during search operation in Khar area. Sources said that security forces targeted important hideouts of militants in Sprat Gutgay and Sewai area where five militants were killed and three were injured. Jet fighter also targeted the underground training center of militants in Tehsil Mamond area.
Taliban have established these bunkers in Tehsil Mamond where they were settled for the last few months but all the bunkers were destroyed by the aerial raids of the security forces. Likewise jet fighters also killed three militants in the Jangzai area during last nights cross firing.
Meanwhile security forces also arrested 16 militants during the search operation in the Manmir area. The arrested persons also included Imran and Sheraz.
The political administration of Bajaur Agency have clamped curfew from 8:00 am to 12 am in the Khar area and all the educational intuitions remained closed on Saturday.
