Shela Raza, Deputy Speaker Sindh Assembly, said that Shahenshah was a senior party worker having knowledge about the tragic incident of 27th December, which claimed the life PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto.
Sindh Home Minister, Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, declared the incident a target killing aimed at creating rifts in the party. He alleged killers of Shahenshah were also responsible for the 7th July blasts in Karachi.
Inspector General Sindh Police (IGP), Sultan Sallahuddin Babar Khattak, CCPO Wasim Ahmed, DIG (Investigation) Ghulam Qadir Thebu, South Zone DIG Iqbal Mehmood, Clifton Town SP Azad Khan and other officials inspected the site of the incident.
Investigators have found almost 39 empty shells of bullets from the spot which shows that assailants took two to three minutes and used SMG rifle, 222 rifle and 9mm pistols to accomplish their mission.
