Reshuffle in Army on the cards
By MAQBOOL MALIK September 23, 2008 ISLAMABAD - A major administrative reshuffle in the Pakistan Army is on the cards with at least two Corps Commanders, including Corps Commander Gujranwala, Lt Gen Waseem Ahmed Ashraf are among the few three star generals likely to retire next month, TheNation learnt from well-placed sources on Monday.
It was not immediately known as to how many senior officers were exactly retiring. However, informed sources dropped hints that there were from six to eight officers whose retirement was either due or were attaining superannuation on the same date.
