Govt officer shot dead in Quetta

QUETTA - Unknown armed men shot dead an under-secretary of population department here on Saturday.

Haji Shamsuddin was going to Killi Bangulzai in Sariab area of city when unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate firing on his vehicle. As a result, he received critical wounds and succumbed to injuries before reaching hospital.

According to police, assailants who were riding on a motorbike escaped the scene after committing crime. No one claimed the responsibility of killing the government official till filling of this report.

Police have registered a case against unknown assailants and started investigation.

According to a report from Nushki, unknown armed persons sprayed a volley of bullets on a person identified as Ghulam Rasool in Nushki town.
