QUETTA - Frontier Corps (FC) has been deployed in Pat Feeder area of Naseerabad to control the law and order situation following a clash between two groups of Bugti tribe.
A spokesman of FC said that force was deployed in the area on the request of Balochistan govt. He said that this would be the desire of FC to achieve the results without using force with the consultation of elders and administration of the area.
He said that provincial government had strictly prohibited any interference in operations of FC for maintenance of peace in the area.
According to reports reaching here, after the arrival of FC troops, the tribal elders of area held a meeting with them and different options came under discussion in the meeting. Reports suggest that after deployment of FC personnel firing has been stopped and armed persons have left the area.
Some weapons and explosives, alongwith a body have also been recovered, while all the locals who were forced to relocate their homes due to lawlessness have started returning to their homes.
Meanwhile, FC has conducted an operation in bordering areas of Dera Bugti and Naseerabad for the recovery of two FC officials who were kidnapped few days back. Two personnel of FC were injured and two others were kidnapped in an attack on personnel of FC who were deployed in Mir Hassan area for protection of gas pipelines. Reports further suggest that efforts for recovery of kidnapped personnel have not succeeded so far.
Meanwhile, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of DIG Sibi and Nasireerabad range Ghulam Shabir Sheikh.
The meeting reviewed law and order situation in the area and different decisions were made to maintain peace in Naseerabad and bordering areas in Dera Bugti.
