Pakistani envoy denies UN probe would cost $100 mln
By SPECIAL CORRESPONDENT July 24, 2008 UNITED NATIONS: - Pakistan's Ambassador to the United Nations, Munir Akram, on Wednesday brushed aside as an "exaggeration" a newspaper report claiming that U.N. investigation into the slaying of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto would cost over $100 million.
"That is an exaggeration. It (the cost) will be only a fraction of that amount," Ambassador Akram said when asked for comments.
