Young girl martyred

ISLAMABAD A suicide bomber blew himself up near the entrance of Imambargah here on Thursday night at Shakrial, that left one innocent young girl dead and injuring four others including two cops, police said.
DIG Operations Bin Yameen told media men that it was a suicide blast and a suicide bomber aged 18 year blew himself up at the entrance of Imambargah near 'Sain Buta mausoleum.
The martyred girl was identified as Arooj (7).
DIG said that the number of injured and dead would have been much higher had the bomber succeeded in entering the fully packed Imambargah and if his jacket could completely detonate.
Suicide bombers jacket could not detonate completely and his body including face remained unhurt during the blast, DIG added.
He said that head constable namely Ittefaq while showing bravery foiled the attempt of suicide bomber and did not allow him to enter in Imambargha.
The injured were taken to Benazir Bhutto Hospital and PIMS and one of them was in serious condition. Police said suicide bomber was carrying some 6 kg explosives in his jacket but all explosives could not detonate.
The blast took place at 10.40 pm when dozens of worshippers were present in Imambargah. DIG said that policemans injury proved that security had been tightened at all sensitive and sacred places.
