Suicide bomber targets troops in Quetta
By Bari Baloch September 24, 2008 QUETTA - A girl student was killed and 22 others including 13 Frontier Corps personnel sustained serious injuries when a suicide bomber blew himself up on Airport Road near Askari Park on Wednesday.
Two vehicles of FC were parked on airport road near a checkpost in Quetta Cantt when a suicide bomber came there and blew himself up. As a result, 22 people including 10 FC personnel and six girls students of Saint Marry School sustained injuries. The students were going to their homes in a Suzuki pickup after school time. The injured FC personnel were rushed to CMH Quetta where three of them are stated to be in serious condition while civilian injured were shifted to Civil Hospital. A girl student identified as Shahida Rasool succumbed to her injuries. The real target of the suicide bomber was FC personnel.
