Suicide bomber targets troops in Quetta

The injured FC men were identified as Sharif, Ali Jan, Asif, Adil Rafiq, Ahsanullah, Amir Nawaz Qalimullah, Zafar Ali, Gull Rehman, Faizullah, Abdul Qayyum, Asif and Imran while some other injured were identified as Muhammad Wali, Azam, Muheudin, Durdana Bibi, Nagina, Ahsia, Aminan, Iqra and Malaeka.

Earlier, there were reports that three FC men were killed in the attack but this report was denied by Inspector General of Frontier Corps Major General Salim Nawaz. Mr Nawaz said that three personnel had received serious injuries in the attack.

He said that a suicide bomber came between the both vehicles and blew himself up.

Talking to the newsmen after visiting the blast site, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Muhammad Akbar Arain said that a vehicle of FC was parked near Christian graveyard when suddenly a suicide bomber came near the vehicle and blew himself up.

He said that one student was killed and five others injured who were passing near the vehicle. He said that the head of bomber and other parts of his body had been recovered, adding that the age of suicide attacker was between 17 to 18 years.
