Six dead in Kentucky plant shooting
Published: June 26, 2008
WASHINGTON (AFP) - A man went on shooting rampage at a plastics plant in the state of Kentucky Wednesday, fatally shooting five co-workers before killing himself, police said.
Police in the town of Henderson, Kentucky told AFP that at least another person was being treated in hospital for gunshot wounds.
The employee entered the Atlantis Plastics facility with a handgun, apparently after an argument with a supervisor earlier on his shift, a Henderson police statement said.
"The cause behind this incident is unknown, however, the suspect is known to have gotten into an argument with a supervisor earlier in the evening.
It is not known at this time whether that argument played any part in this incident," the statement said.
